Right Venues recently participated in a hosted Fam Trip to the Mediterranean Island of Malta. The trip was co-hosted and organised by RAM, UK and Malta DMC, Alliance.
Over the course of three days, participants were introduced to the wide variety of activities, attractions and facilities the Island has to offer.
The Island has, in recent years, become an increasingly attractive location for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events. Aside from the good selection of four and five star hotels and the extensive, state-of-the-art conference facilities on offer, the Island is easy to get to from mainland Europe just three hours by plane and two hours from London, easy to navigate, and offers a wide variety of activities to discerning delegates, including fishing, sailing and golf. The Island of Gozo and its neighbouring Island Comino also offer interesting excursion options and activities including dolphin watching and off-road driving.
In addition to the extensive activities and unusual venue locations, including Palais and the Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta, the hospitality was particularly warm and the food excellent, with good, local produce prepared to a variety of culinary influences.
The three day trip was put together to showcase as much of the Island as possible during such a short visit. The team at Alliance put together a broad and interesting programme. Showcasing the wide range of hotels on the island to name just a few, Hilton Malta, situated on the Portomaso waterfront in the fashionable district of St Julian’s accommodating up to 1,400 delegates, The Corinthia Palace Hotel a short drive from capital Valletta accommodating up to 500 delegates. If you are looking for something a little more unusual, the Montekristo Estates – Renaissance – is a marble jewel box revolving around a central pavilion accommodating 500 seated 2,000 standing.
“The report back from our attendance of the Malta Fam Trip was very positive. We are putting forward Malta as a destination to clients, at whatever opportunity we have.” said Liz Ackland. Managing Director, Right Venues.
