We have just heard that Gordon Ramsay is opening a new restaurant, with his financial backer being none other than David Beckham!
The Ramsays and Beckhams have long been close friends; with Victoria and Tana frequently photographed together shopping and lunching, and their boys Brooklyn and Jack participating in football trials, but the families going into business together is an entirely new venture.
This partnership has come about after Ramsay’s disastrous restaurant empire meltdown four years ago, and the duo now now plan to open their Union Street cafe, which will serve reasonably-priced food costing between £25-30 a head. Ramsay stated in the Sunday Times, “there will be a real focus on the most amazing produce, cooked in a simple Mediterranean style in a relaxed setting.”
The restaurant will be situated on the ground floor of Harling House on the corner of Union Street and Great Suffolk street, London, and is due to open in September 2013. We would say it’s worth a visit in the hopes of catching a glimpse of Beckhams, although we’re not too sure how likely this will be. Does Posh even eat? We think not.
